I love spending mornings in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden at Assiniboine Park. It was a beautiful morning at the park, with a number of people walking along the paths. At one point, a breeze stirred blossoms in a tree, causing a shower of petals to fall to the ground. I found myself thinking of the quiet winter mornings I’ve spent there. If you’re looking for uninterrupted contemplation, you’re more likely to find it at –20. It was a contrast of seasons in more ways than one.
